We will discuss how to properly interpret Scripture by understanding the historical and grammatical context, and then applying the method Jesus and His disciples used to interpret the Scriptures.

“How do I find a good Christian community when I’m in college? What do I look for in a good Bible-believing church?” We will discuss the history of the Modern church, the key theological distinctions between them, and the signs of a healthy Christian community. 

Living as God’s Covenant People

Why do we partake in the Lord’s Supper every week? Why are believers baptized?  God has called His people to be part of a covenant family complete with traditions that convey and confirm God’s saving work in us. Join us as we consider the symbolic and spiritual aspects of the Sacraments and discover a deeper meaning to our union with Christ and His church.

God’s Purpose for Suffering...is it Good?

If God loves us, why do we still suffer trials, temptations, illness and death? Can a Christian live free from pain? The Christian life is full of ups and downs, and having a proper understanding of suffering is the only way we can endure the broken road God has planned for us.  We will explore the Loving Father’s design and purpose for suffering in the Christian life, and learn how to embrace suffering in a way that edifies our faith and brings maximum glory to Christ.

Reviving the Spirit of Prayer

Having trouble being motivated to pray?  Ever wonder whether God hears your prayers? Or why you should even pray at all if God already has a plan for your future? We will consider how and why Jesus taught His disciples to pray, and learn to delight in the freedom of knowing that all things are ‘Yes and Amen’ because of Christ.
